Job summary

Access Services Group in Australia is seeking a hands-on technician to maintain and service our fleet across workshop and client sites. You will respond to emergency breakdowns, liaise with customers on-site, and uphold safety standards and a Zero Harm culture.

You will perform mechanical repairs, routine servicing, and fault finding on diesel engines and hydraulic equipment, including elevated work platforms and telehandlers.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate.
• Current and valid Driver's License.
• OHS Construction Card (White card preferred).
• Experience servicing diesel engines and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with Elevated Work Platforms, Telehandlers and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fleet in workshop and on client sites.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers on-site and maintain professional communication.
• Follow safety standards and Zero Harm culture.
• Perform faults findings and timely mechanical repairs.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and recognition programs.

Job description

Access Services Group, part of Access Group Australia, is a major provider to the Australian sales and rental equipment industry, providing service, sales, and support.

We specialise in the maintenance and repair of all types of equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, lighting towers, and generators supplied by world-leading brands such as Genie, JLG, Merlo, and Globe Power.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing our fleet to the highest standards, both in the workshop and occasionally at client sites. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver timely response to emergency breakdowns.
• Liaise with our customers on-site.
• Maintain and adhere to safety standards and Zero harm focus.
• Provide a professional approach to mechanical solutions and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure timely mechanical repairs and fault findings.
• Raise initiatives in our employee initiative program, we value your input to making our processes, streamlines, or improved, with your industry knowledge and every quarter acknowledge one winner in the employee rewards program.

You will be a qualified tradesperson who is reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high-quality work. You will bring:

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Preferably with similar working experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter.
• Current and valid Driver's License
• OHS Construction Card (White card preferred)
• Experience working with Diesel Engines and Hydraulic equipment.
• Experienced in servicing, periodical inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment including, but not limited to Elevated Work Platforms - Lighting Towers and Telehandlers
