Job summary

Access Service Australia, Glendenning NSW, seeks an experienced Plant Mechanic/EWP Service Technician for the workshop. You will service, diagnose and repair EWPs and mobile plant across a diverse range of equipment, from scissor lifts to telehandlers, with an emphasis on accurate fault finding and safe, quality workmanship.

Sick of working on the same equipment every day?

Access Service Australia is looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic / EWP Service Technician to join our NSW team at Glendenning.

If you already know your way around Elevated Work Platforms, telehandlers, forklifts or mobile plant, we'd like to hear from you.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day doing basic servicing.

Our technicians work across a huge variety of equipment and jobs – from routine maintenance and breakdown diagnosis through to complex repairs, Major Inspections and complete machine strip-downs.

You'll work on equipment from many of the industry's major manufacturers, giving you the opportunity to use your existing skills while continuing to build your technical knowledge.

We have opportunities for technicians who prefer variety and growth.

What you'll be working on

Our NSW team services and repairs a broad range of equipment including:

Scissor lifts and boom lifts

Electric, diesel and hybrid EWPs

Trailer and truck-mounted EWPs

Telehandlers and forklifts

Material lifts

Light towers and other mobile plant

You’ll be carrying out scheduled servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

There is also the opportunity to become involved in Major Inspections, structural repairs, machine rebuilds and more complex diagnostic work.

We're looking for someone who can

Diagnose faults rather than simply replace parts

Service, inspect and repair EWPs and mobile plant

Fault-find hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems

Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections

Attend breakdowns and customer sites when required

Complete job cards and service documentation properly

Work independently while still being part of a technical team

Take pride in leaving a machine safe and repaired properly

About you

Ideally, you'll have experience with EWPs or access equipment and a background as a:

Mobile Plant Mechanic

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Auto Electrician with mobile plant experience

Similar mechanical trade

A mechanical trade qualification is preferred, but good EWP experience, diagnostic ability and practical knowledge count for a lot with us.

You’ll also need a current driver's licence, good communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with our customers.
