Job summary

MRT Automotive is a locally owned mechanical workshop serving Echuca Moama for over 20 years. We are seeking a Fully qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic for a full-time position, offering a friendly team environment and a modern workshop.

Your day-to-day duties will include servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on a variety of makes and models, while working with an experienced team. Monday to Friday roster with no weekend work and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Manual preferred).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• General servicing and repairs on a variety of makes and models.

• Brake, suspension and steering repairs.
• Engine and mechanical repairs.
• Vehicle inspections and roadworthy preparation.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on a variety of makes and models while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• General servicing and repairs

• Fault finding and diagnostics

• Brake, suspension and steering repairs

• Engine and mechanical repairs

• Vehicle inspections and roadworthy preparation

• Maintaining a clean and organised workshop

• Delivering high quality workmanship and attention to detail

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Manual preferred)

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Pride in producing quality workmanship

• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

• Excellent communication skills

• Willing to think outside the box & honesty

Roadworthy Tester Licence, Air Conditioning Licence or Hybrid/EV experience would be an advantage but are Not essential.
