Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking a MECC Cleaner to help maintain clean, safe venues such as The MECC & BB Print Stadium. The role involves rostered shifts including early mornings from 6:00am, evenings and weekends, delivering high-quality cleaning while following WH&S procedures.

You will work independently with a focus on safety, customer service, and teamwork, bringing previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children (Blue Card)
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Able to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending and carrying
• Solid understanding of safe work practices and cleaning processes
• Previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of people
