Job summary

The Midfield Group in Warrnambool, Victoria, is seeking unskilled meat workers for immediate start in a stable processing environment.

Main duties include packing, marshaling carcasses, cleaning floors, and assisting with slaughter-line tasks, with on-site canteen and parking.

Applicants must be reliable, physically fit and able to work 38 hours a week, pass drug/alcohol tests, have the right to work in Australia, and be willing to vaccination for Q Fever.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, physically fit and willing to work as part of a team.
• Must understand hygiene, attention to detail and follow procedures.
• Must have the right to work full-time in Australia (38 hours/week).
• Must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required.
• Have had a Q Fever vaccination or be willing to participate in the vaccination process.

Responsibilities

• Packing of meat into boxes or plastic bags.
• Marshaling of carcasses and cartons into refrigerators, freezers and shipping containers, manual lifting required.
• General tidying up slaughter floors and boning rooms using shovels and brooms.
• Assisting with removal of hides, fore & hind hock from carcasses, manual and mechanical.
