Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Laboratory Technicians for our Brisbane (Stafford) laboratory. Roles demand speed and accuracy, with potential for those recently completing Science Degrees or TAFE training to apply.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in the Science industry.
• Either TAFE or University qualifications.
• Desire to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment with preference for commercial lab experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
• Dedication to good laboratory practices with regard to quality and safety.
• Flexibility to work public holidays and weekend shifts if required.
• Willingness to cross-train in other sections of the laboratory.
• Drive to go the extra mile and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of soil, water, and sediment - weighing, digesting, titrating, or solvent extraction of samples
• Ensuring that preparation and analytical procedures are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions
• Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies
• Completing all tasks within the timeframe set by the Supervisor and the relevant analysis standard
• Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour
