Job summary

NH Foods Australia is seeking an experienced laboratory technician for our modern export processing facilities in Queensland. The role reports to the Laboratory Manager and operates in a NATA accredited laboratory, offering stability and variety.

This hands-on position involves on-plant sampling as well as testing and calibration within the Laboratory, with opportunities to develop skills in the red meat industry and advance in a growing, progressive company.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NATA standards and industry experience in microbiology analysis of meat and meat by-products will be favourably regarded.
• Willing to undertake further training in lab techniques relevant to the red meat industry.
• Able to work a rotating weekly roster 4am to Midday,6am to 2pm and 8am to 4pm
• Availability to work some Saturdays if required
• Own reliable transport is essential
• Be vaccinated against the Q-Fever virus or willing to take part in the vaccination process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-plant sampling and laboratory testing and calibration.
• Work within a NATA accredited laboratory under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager.
• Engage in hands-on technical tasks across the laboratory and production environments.

This position is not exclusively Laboratory work and is a hands‑on technical role due to the variety of the tasks you will be conducting. Applicants will be required to conduct on‑plant sampling as well as testing and calibration within the Laboratory.
