Strait Link Shipping Pty Ltd in Port Melbourne is seeking experienced multi combination drivers to join our depot team. You will be responsible for road transport operations under the Road Transport Rules, delivering freight safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies.

The role requires a HC vehicle licence (MC essential), MSIC and TAS Ports induction preferred, and a commitment to safe work practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Year 10 Secondary Education (Year 12 preferred)
Class HC Vehicle Licence (MC essential)
MSIC and TAS Ports Inducted (preferred but not essential)
Proven delivery and freight experience
Have a focus to always work safely
Ability to work without direct supervision
Physically fit and willing to do manual handling
Basic knowledge of computer systems
Numeracy and literacy Skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Full knowledge of federal and state road regulations including load restraint and fatigue management

Responsabilités

Operate multi-combination vehicles in Port Melbourne depot and surrounding routes
Complete local cartage jobs as delegated by supervisor
Assist as forklift operator when required
Work day and night rosters, including some weekends
Adhere to Road Transport Rules and Regulations in a safe, efficient manner
