Job summary

Strait Link seeks experienced Multi Combination Drivers for our busy depot in Port Melbourne. You will be responsible for road transport rules and regulations conducted safely and efficiently, with duties including local cartage as delegated by the supervisor and occasional forklift operation.

We are seeking both day and afternoon shift drivers. A HC license (MC essential) and freight experience are required; MSIC and TAS Ports inducting are preferred. A focus on safety and service is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Year 10 Secondary Education (Year 12 preferred).
• Class HC Vehicle Licence (MC essential).
• MSIC and TAS Ports Inducted (preferred but not essential).
• Proven delivery and freight experience.
• Have a focus to always work safely.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Physically fit and willing to do manual handling.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems.
• Numeracy and literacy Skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full knowledge of federal and state road regulations including load restraint and fatigue management.

Job Description

We have multiple opportunities for experienced Multi Combination Drivers for our busy depot in Port Melbourne.

These positions carry a responsibility for all aspects of Road Transport Rules and Regulations which should be conducted in a competent, safe and law abiding manner with due consideration to an efficient and service-oriented environment. Completing any local cartage job as delegated by the supervisor can also be required, as well assisting as a forklift operator when necessary.

We are seeking a day shift driver and an afternoon shift driver.
