Job summary

Kempsey District Hospital is seeking a Clinical Midwifery Educator to lead education in the maternity ward, supporting safe, evidence-based care. You will mentor and coach midwifery staff from orientation through to advanced clinical learning, coordinate programs, and work with multidisciplinary teams to uplift clinical capability and professional development.

The role is permanent part-time, based on the Kempsey district campus, offering opportunities to influence practice and staff retention.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Midwife.
• Relevant clinical and/or educational qualifications, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Experience in adult learning and education delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education and training within the ward to promote competence.
• Support, mentor and educate maternity staff across orientation to advanced learning.
• Coordinate educational programs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Utilise information technology to support education and best-practice care.
