Job summary

City of Whittlesea is seeking a Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join the MCH Team on a fixed-term 12-month 0.84 EFT contract. The role focuses on delivering the Victorian MCH program with a family-centred approach and facilitating group activities for families with young children.

The position offers flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid work-from-home option, and a comprehensive wellbeing program as part of the remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as Division 1 Registered Nurse and Midwife.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Child Family and Community Health- Maternal Child Health Nursing.
• Ability to deliver Victorian Maternal & Child Health program to diverse families with young children birth to school age.
• Knowledge of primary health care, health promotion and principles of early intervention.

Responsibilities

• What you will do: Provide the Victorian maternal and child health service program using a family centred partnership approach.
• Facilitate group work, including new parent groups, drop-in programs, and group-based initiatives.
