Job summary

Lovett Construction Group Pty Ltd seeks a Material Delivery Driver to join our team in Valley Heights, NSW 2777. This full-time role focuses on safe and efficient delivery of construction materials to sites and customer locations.

You will load and unload materials, inspect vehicles, and maintain delivery records while working closely with site managers and dispatch teams to meet schedules and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid HR or MR driver’s licence or equivalent.
• Experience as a delivery driver in construction/logistics.
• Physical fitness capable of lifting and loading materials safely.
• Knowledge of construction materials and site requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain delivery vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition.
• Transport construction materials to designated sites in a timely manner.
• Load and unload materials safely with proper handling procedures.
• Inspect vehicles before and after deliveries for issues or damage.
• Keep accurate delivery records including mileage and fuel use.
• Communicate delivery times and issues with site managers and dispatch.
• Comply with traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Secure loads to prevent spillage or damage in transit.
• Support warehouse team with additional tasks when needed.

Job description

We are seeking a Material Delivery Driver to join the team at Lovett Construction Group Pty Ltd. This is a full-time position based in Valley Heights, NSW 2777. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to construction sites and customer locations.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining delivery vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition
• Transporting construction materials and supplies to designated sites and locations in a timely manner
• Loading and unloading materials safely, following proper handling procedures and weight distribution guidelines
• Inspecting vehicles before and after each delivery to identify any maintenance issues or damage
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance
• Communicating effectively with site managers, customers and the dispatch team regarding delivery times and any issues
• Complying with all traffic laws, road safety regulations and company safety policies
• Securing loads properly to prevent spillage or damage during transport
• Supporting the warehouse team with additional tasks when required

What we're looking for

• Current HR or MR driver's licence, or equivalent
• Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transport role within the construction, warehousing or logistics industry
• Physical fitness and capability to safely load and unload materials
• Knowledge of construction materials and site requirements (desirable)
