Job summary

Diamond Quality Cabinets in Mackay is seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to fabricate, assemble and finish custom cabinetry, counters and furniture to exacting standards.

You will study blueprints, select materials, utilise CAD and CNC machinery, apply finishes and fittings, and collaborate with clients and tradespeople to install on site. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with proven experience in woodworking.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints and orders to create cabinetry and furniture.
• Select materials and estimate total material costs.
• Cut, shape and assemble cabinetry and fittings.
• Utilise CAD and CNC machines to mark out and shape components.
• Apply finishes and hardware and collaborate with clients and tradespeople for installation.
