Job summary

Sheridan Stone Aust Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Stonemason to join the team in Toormina NSW. You will measure, cut, shape and install stone products to meet project specs, ensuring precision and high-quality finishes while following safety procedures.

The role requires AQF Certificate III in stonemasonry or equivalent, or 3+ years of direct experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in stonemasonry or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of three years of directly relevant experience in stonemasonry, stone fabrication or installation.
• At least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings to determine dimensions, fabrication and installation procedures.
• Measure, mark and set out stone materials to meet project requirements.
• Select and inspect stone materials for quality and specifications.
• Cut, shape, grind, polish and finish stone materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Fabricate stone components and features according to design tolerances.
• Prepare edges, joints and surfaces to achieve precise dimensions and high-quality finish.
• Operate and maintain stone-cutting, grinding, polishing and fabrication equipment.
• Install fabricated stone components at sites with accurate alignment and secure fitting.
• Coordinate with management, builders and trades to confirm site measurements and schedules.
