Expected Salary: $80,000 a year. The position is a permanent full-time, on-site role requiring punctuality, accurate measurements, and adherence to WHS practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional commercial or residential painter.
• Excellent understanding of painting techniques, surface prepping methods, and coating application.
• Proficient in using manual and powered painting equipment (brushes, rollers, spray guns, sanders).
• Ability to read technical documents, MSDS, and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Inspect surfaces and perform repairs, patching, or maintenance before painting.
• Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, or hydro-washing to remove old paint and smooth rough spots.
• Apply primers, sealers, paints, stains, or varnishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Install drop cloths and protect surfaces from drips or overspray; use ladders/scaffolding safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe worksite and follow health and safety protocols.
