Job summary

One Touch Painting & Decorating Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painting Trades Worker to service Lara, VIC and surrounding suburbs. This full-time role offers an annual salary of $78,000+, plus superannuation, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include applying paints and finishes, surface preparation, cost estimation, and ensuring quality finishes. Experience in commercial and residential settings with various coating techniques is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in commercial and residential painting in a professional setting.
• Experience with high-performance and protective coatings is required.
• Experience with faux finishes, marbling, graining, and fresco is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel and other finishes to surfaces using spray guns, brushes or rollers.
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers or sealers for new finishes.
• Estimate material quantities and costs based on measurements and work orders.
• Protect surfaces during painting with drop cloths, tape and masking paper.
• Fill cracks and joints with caulk or putty using caulking guns or putty knives.
• Mix colors and finishes with thinners to achieve desired results.
• Clean surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper and prepare for finishing coats.
• Read work orders or instructions from supervisors to determine requirements.
• Read and interpret job instructions to apply proper finishing techniques.
