Job summary

Coral Expeditions, part of the NRMA Group, seeks an experienced Master to lead on-board operations across our expedition vessels. You will oversee crew performance, safety, and guest satisfaction while representing the company’s values at sea.

The role requires proven leadership, strong maritime safety standards, and the ability to coordinate itineraries, communications, and vessel management with shoreside teams. Experience as a Master on passenger ships is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master Unlimited credential is required.
• Proficiency in Survival Craft.
• Crowd control & Crisis Management skills.
• International AMSA Medical clearance is required.
• Remote Area First Aid & Advanced CPR training.
• ASSB or country equivalent discharge book.
• Passport is mandatory for travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervisory responsibilities across ship operations.
• Safety management and compliance with maritime regulations.
• Itinerary management and voyage planning.
• Communication with ship-based and shoreside teams.
• Vessel management and upkeep oversight.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated safe working practices mindset.
• Passenger ship experience preferred.
