Job description

Findex is looking for a Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our Marketing team in New Zealand on a 10-month parental leave cover contract.

You will own the coordination of our event program, from large-scale client events to intimate client experiences, working closely with our Marketing Campaigns stream to bring our brand to life. It is a hands-on, varied role for an organised, creative events professional who loves seeing an event come together and is excited to use AI to work smarter.

Your role, your contribution!

Coordinate the end-to-end event planning process, including event materials, timelines, venue and supplier sourcing, and stakeholder communication, to deliver high-quality client experiences.

Manage on-site events across New Zealand and, when required, Australia, travelling to regional and metropolitan locations to connect with clients and prospects.

Run online client and internal webinars and write engaging event invitations for digital and social channels.

Manage individual event budgets within the overall events budget, finding ways to reduce spend without compromising quality.

Apply risk management techniques to minimise event risks and ensure service standards and processes are followed.

Track and report event metrics and data to internal teams, showcasing event impact, supporting lead follow-up and helping shape future strategy.

Coordinate local advertising requests from across the business, working with local teams and media suppliers to deliver on-brand, cost-effective placements.

Support sponsorship activations, coordinating the on-the-ground and promotional elements that bring partnerships to life.

The benefits of joining us!

Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Be part of a collaborative, inclusive Marketing team with strong support from your manager and the Head of Marketing.

Gain exposure to a diverse client base through a varied event calendar

Access to a national network of professionals and the backing of a national firm.

Opportunities to build your marketing and events experience across campaigns and sponsorship activation.

Meaningful community impact through the Findex Community Fund.

What you will bring to the role:

Solid experience in an event coordinator role, with a genuine passion for planning corporate events.

Marketing experience across communications, digital and social is desirable, along with content writing skills.

Experience with HubSpot or a similar marketing platform, and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Hands-on system skills in GoToWebinar and Eventbrite

An AI-native mindset, with confidence using AI tools in your everyday work and a willingness to build code, automations and workflows with AI to make events and marketing run smarter.

Strong stakeholder management and professional communication skills, with the ability to tailor your message to your audience.

Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects at once.

A creative, adaptable and resourceful approach, with financial services industry knowledge and a current driver's licence.
