Job description

Marketing Communications Manager
Lead Creative Marketing That Builds Brands & Drives Business Growth

At Aptella, we deliver intelligent positioning and automation technology that helps customers work smarter, safer, and more efficiently across mining, construction, geospatial, and infrastructure industries.

With more than 380 employees across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, we're growing rapidly and investing in our brand, our people, and the way we connect with customers.

We're looking for an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to lead our marketing strategy, inspire a talented team, and deliver creative campaigns that generate results while building strong relationships across the business.

This role can be based from either our Silverwater (Sydney) or Archerfield (Brisbane) office, with hybrid working arrangements available.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine creative thinking with commercial focus to deliver impactful marketing campaigns across multiple brands, products, and markets.

Working closely with business leaders, sales teams, and global technology partners, you'll develop marketing initiatives that strengthen Aptella's brand, generate quality leads, and support business growth.

Success in this role comes down to two things - your ability to create engaging, commercially focused campaigns that deliver measurable results, and your ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business. You'll influence, collaborate, and partner with leaders to ensure marketing is aligned with business priorities while leading a small, high-performing marketing team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and deliver marketing and communications strategies aligned with business objectives

  • Design and execute creative, integrated marketing campaigns that generate engagement, lead generation, and measurable business outcomes

  • Partner with business leaders to understand commercial priorities and translate them into effective marketing initiatives

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and global technology partners to maximise marketing opportunities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement

  • Oversee Aptella's websites, social media, digital marketing, PR, email marketing, and online presence

  • Lead industry events, exhibitions, customer showcases, and promotional activities

  • Create compelling marketing content, including customer success stories, videos, digital campaigns, brochures, and promotional material

  • Monitor campaign performance, marketing ROI, and customer engagement to continuously improve results

  • Manage marketing budgets, suppliers, and external agencies while maintaining a strong and consistent brand

About You

You're a creative and commercially minded marketing leader who enjoys bringing ideas to life and influencing others to achieve great outcomes.

You know great marketing isn't just about creating campaigns- it's about understanding the business, building trusted relationships, and delivering work that makes a genuine commercial impact.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in a Marketing Communications, Brand, or Marketing Management role

  • A proven ability to develop creative marketing campaigns that drive engagement, lead generation, and measurable business results

  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the business

  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing a high-performing team

  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and storytelling skills

  • Experience managing websites, social media, digital marketing, PR, email marketing, and content creation

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to align marketing activity with business objectives

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Experience within B2B, technology, engineering, construction, mining, or industrial industries will be highly regarded.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Enterprise, CRM platforms, email marketing, Google Analytics, and digital marketing tools will also be highly regarded.

Why Join Aptella?

Join a growing and innovation-led business where marketing plays a critical role in driving growth, customer engagement, and brand awareness.

You'll have the opportunity to shape our brand, influence business outcomes, and work alongside passionate people who are committed to delivering industry-leading solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

What You'll Get
  • Be based from either our Silverwater (Sydney) or Archerfield (Brisbane) office with hybrid working arrangements

  • Flare discounts and wellbeing benefits

  • Discounted gym memberships and health insurance

  • Career development and leadership opportunities

  • Exposure to global technology partners and industry-leading products

  • Opportunity to lead marketing across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia

  • Supportive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing function for one of the region's leading technology businesses.

You'll have the opportunity to shape our brand, influence business growth, lead a talented team, and deliver creative campaigns that make a genuine impact across multiple industries and international markets.
