Job summary

Red Energy seeks a commercially minded Market Analyst to translate complex market data into actionable pricing reality. You will extract and analyse market data, build scalable tools, and support pricing decisions within a 18-month Melbourne-based contract.

Reporting to the Pricing Manager, you will work autonomously, collaborate with internal teams, and enhance data-driven customer strategies while embracing flexible 3 days in-office and 2 days remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL-based transformation tools; Databricks helpful.
• Strong background in commercial data analytics.
• Ability to translate high-level specs into tools or models.
• High degree of autonomy and discipline, able to manage a pipeline of work.

Responsibilities

• Deep-dive into business data using SQL to extract insights and build pricing tools.
• Merge internal and external data to deliver practical pricing solutions.
• Work with development teams to manage scalable data pipelines.
• Prioritise high-impact analytics projects independently.
• Communicate analytics to stakeholders to guide decisions.
• Continuously optimise pricing methodologies and reporting.
