Job summary

NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a Project Officer for the Marine Programs to deliver conservation initiatives across NSW. The role coordinates stakeholder engagement, conducts research, and supports project delivery to enhance NSW’s marine biodiversity.

Based in Parramatta with hybrid work, you will work with scientists, stakeholders and partners to drive impactful environmental outcomes and strengthen program delivery across state‑wide marine

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in science or a relevant natural resource discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Current Australian driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the state.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver projects that support NSW marine biodiversity and conservation.
• Undertake research and analysis to inform evidence‑based decisions.
• Manage project activities and monitor performance against plan.
• Support decision making with timely reports and data.
• Collaborate with government agencies, researchers, industry representatives and community partners.
