Job summary

Whittley Boating Centre Sydney is seeking a Marine Mechanic / Technician to service Whittley boats with Honda Outboards, Volvo Penta stern drives, and Raymarine electronics. The role covers on-site and mobile work at marinas, dry stacks, and yacht clubs, with responsibilities from engine servicing to accessory fitting.

The applicant should have a marine mechanic qualification or equivalent experience, be able to work independently, and hold a boat and car driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Marine Mechanic / Technician qualification or equivalent experience.
• Boat fit-up and re-power experience.
• Ability to work alone and unsupervised.
• Assist the Sales and Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Complete Engine, Boat, Trailer service jobs.
• Assist with warranty work from Whittley and partner suppliers.
• Conduct marine insurance repair work.
• Fit and commission boat accessories to trailer boats.
• Pre-delivery checks of new boat, motors and trailers.
• Re-powers of Outboards and Sterndrives.
