Job summary

SeaLink Marine and Tourism, part of the Kelsian Group, is seeking a permanent full-time Maintenance role to support the Maintenance Technical Manager. The position is based from Cape Jervis with occasional travel to Penneshaw, KI, and requires a diesel fitter/mechanical trade background living on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The role emphasizes leading the Shore-Based Maintenance team, maintaining vessels and infrastructure, and ensuring compliance through accurate records.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Mechanical Trade (Diesel fitter, electrical, refrigeration or plumbing) – Essential
• Marine Engine Drivers 1 (MED1) or greater – desirable
• Experience servicing and inspecting commercial vessels; preventive maintenance
• Computer knowledge with MEX or similar fleet software
• Experience leading a team – Essential
• Open driver’s licence – Essential
• National Police Clearance – Essential
• First Aid – Essential
• CPR – Essential
• Forklift licence – desirable
• Working at Heights – desirable

Responsibilities

• Manage the Shore-Based Maintenance team
• Maintain, service, and repair vessels and infrastructure
• Conduct regular testing and inspections of vessels and machinery
• Respond to emergency and breakdown maintenance promptly
• Diagnostics and rectification of issues
• Identify and report potential maintenance issues – preventative
• Maintain complete maintenance records for compliance
