Job summary

Babcock Australasia seeks an experienced engineer to support our Platform / Marine systems team in maintaining and enhancing vessel and waterfront assets. You will apply your electrical, mechanical or naval architecture expertise to analyze requests for variances and develop technical responses and instructions for production teams.

With a strong focus on defect investigation, maintenance analysis and urgent rectification, you will collaborate across divisions, participate in pre-employment

Qualifications

• Seasoned engineer with a background in electrical, mechanical or naval architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex vessel systems.
• Experience in design, operation or maintenance of ships is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to support Engineering and Waterfront operations.
• Provide and review technical responses and develop instructions for maintenance.
• Investigate defects and prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Contribute to urgent defect rectification across platforms and marine systems.
