Job summary

Navantia Australia is seeking a Waterfront Field Engineer specializing in Mechanical systems in Sydney. The role focuses on front-line engineering support, issue resolution, and maintenance planning for naval platforms.

You will engage with OEMs and the Navantia team to optimise system performance and ensure safety and quality in operations. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of professional experience in marine/defence settings, able to interpret

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' professional engineering experience.
Experience in marine/defence environments as a technical specialist.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line engineering support to customers and Navantia team.
Conduct engineering investigations, analysis and reporting on asset performance.
Oversee platform integration of mechanical systems with ship platforms (HVAC, electrical, etc).
Engage with OEMs and local suppliers to develop problem resolution and optimisation strategies.
