Job description

Manufacturing Technical Lead - Packaging

Want to help us shake up fizzy drinks for good?

Remedy is shaking up the drinks landscape. We are continuing to experience phenomenal growth, quickly becoming the best tasting, highest quality and – perhaps most importantly – the most loved kombucha brand in Australia and New Zealand, with a rapidly expanding range of other tasty, fermented and functional drinks.

As our manufacturing continues to grow, we're creating a new role within our Operations team and looking for a technically minded problem-solver to join us as our Manufacturing Technical Lead.

This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible role where you'll work at the intersection of manufacturing, packaging, product development, quality and supply chain, ensuring both existing products and future innovations can be manufactured safely, efficiently and consistently at scale

The Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Manufacturing, this newly created role offers a unique opportunity to work across manufacturing, packaging, product development and supply chain. You'll play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, supporting new product and packaging initiatives, and turning technical challenges into practical solutions that help our business continue to grow.

Whether it's supporting a new product launch, improving packaging performance, managing manufacturing master data, troubleshooting production issues, reducing waste or partnering with suppliers to solve complex challenges, you'll help ensure our products can be manufactured safely, efficiently and consistently at scale.

This role has been created to strengthen the technical capability of our operations team, improve manufacturing readiness for growth, and support the successful commercialisation of new products and packaging formats.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Providing hands‑on technical support for manufacturing and packaging‑related challenges
  • Investigating production and packaging issues and leading structured root‑cause analysis activities
  • Driving improvements in efficiency, reliability, yield and right‑first‑time performance
  • Working closely with packaging suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and packaging issues that impact manufacturing performance, quality and efficiency
  • Supporting packaging optimisation and standardisation projects
  • Using operational and quality data to identify improvement opportunities and deliver sustainable solutions
  • Partnering with the quality and operations teams to ensure new products and packaging formats are successfully commercialised
  • Supporting manufacturing readiness for new product launches and major product changes, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated prior to implementation
  • Managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing specifications and technical master data to ensure accuracy and operational integrity
  • Assessing the manufacturing impact of formulation, packaging and process changes, ensuring risks are identified and effectively managed
About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re the type of person who loves understanding how things work and finding better ways to do them.

You’re equally comfortable on the production floor investigating an issue as you are collaborating with stakeholders to drive long‑term improvements.

You’ll bring:
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging technology, process engineering or a similar technical role
  • FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods or packaging industry experience
  • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capability
  • Experience using manufacturing and operational data to drive decisions and improvement
  • The ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and a hands‑on, practical approach
  • A passion for continuous improvement and a genuine desire to make things better
Why you’ll love being part of Remedy

We’re ambitious, entrepreneurial and proud of the culture we’ve built, one that values authenticity, collaboration, energy and having a bit of fun along the way.

Working within Remedy, you will be surrounded by a team who loves what they do, supports great ideas and makes things happen!
