Suntory Oceania in Ipswich, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to guide premium beverage production in one of Australia’s most automated facilities. You will lead a team of Operators, drive safety, quality and efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production plans.

The role requires strong coaching, hands-on operational excellence, and knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, and GMP/HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in highly automated manufacturing environments.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a passion for developing people.
• Technical aptitude across manufacturing systems, automation and electrical/mechanical processes.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to play a key role in our manufacturing operation, crafting our premium beverages, as well as supporting and enabling our culture of excellence.

We're looking for a leader who measures success through the growth of their people. Someone who can develop future leaders, build technical capability, and create empowered teams in one of Australia's most advanced automated manufacturing facilities.

This is a critical leadership role where you will oversee production performance and continue to ensure and elevate safety and quality outcomes.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will shape our manufacturing culture, drive performance and deliver exceptional operational results across safety, quality, cost and sustainability. You will take ownership for continuous improvement initiatives and possess the ability to leverage automation, technology and operational excellence principles to deliver world‑class manufacturing outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

You will naturally collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver the plan as well as successfully:

• Lead a team of Manufacturing Operators to achieve outstanding results.
• Deliver production plans while ensuring world‑class standards in safety, quality, reliability and efficiency.
• Utilise manufacturing systems, ERP, SCADA and real‑time performance data to make informed operational decisions.
• Champion food safety, GMP, HACCP and compliance standards across all manufacturing activities.

• Proven leadership experience within FMCG, beverage, food, pharmaceutical, packaging, advanced manufacturing or other highly automated production environments.

• High level of technical aptitude across manufacturing systems, automation, mechanical and electrical processes.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Strong problem‑solving capability and experience leading operational improvement initiatives.
