Job summary

ANCA is seeking a Trade Assistant for a 6–12 month fixed-term contract at Bayswater North, Australia. You will support day-to-day machine shop operations, including cleaning, deburring, and preparation tasks per work instructions, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on manufacturing experience, a safety-focused mindset, and the ability to work within a team, prioritise tasks, and manage daily workload. Forklift experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused and dependable with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to follow instructions and documentation requirements.
• Experience with manufacturing/assembly tasks is a plus.
• Forklift experience and safe handling knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine machine shop tasks and component support.
• Perform cleaning, deburring, and preparation tasks per work instructions.
• Monitor and replenish consumables, including coolant where applicable.
• Support material movement and kit/match supply to forecast.
• Contribute to safety, housekeeping, and 5S in the workplace.
• Assist with bearing match processes such as gluing and stock transfers.
