Job summary

Cochlear Limited is hiring a Manufacturing Operator on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role involves assembling components and sub-assemblies for Cochlear Implant systems and meeting productivity and quality targets.

Initial shifts include day and afternoon patterns across two site locations. No prior experience is required; strong micro assembly skills with microscope use and ability to read and follow work instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required for the role.
• Micro assembly tasks using a microscope to perform complex operations.
• Ability to read and write English for understanding work instructions.
• Ability to wear required manufacturing garments (mask, hood, gloves, etc.).
• Willingness to work across Macquarie Uni and Lane Cove sites.

A fantastic opportunity for you to join Cochlear as a Manufacturing Operator on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract based either in Macquarie university or Lane Cove.

Manufacturing Operators play a pivotal role in assembling components and sub-assemblies for the Cochlear Implant System, by meeting productivity and quality requirements and working effectively to achieve team business outcomes.

The key responsibilities include:

• Perform manufacturing tasks in line with work instructions and procedures
• Set up, maintain, operate and monitor manufacturing equipment/machines in line with work instructions, procedures & equipment care sheets
• Strong micro assembly skills, with the use of a microscope to perform complex operations
• Comply with required gowning procedures and work instructions for the purpose of product safety and adhering to QMS requirements

You will be initially allocated on one of our current shift patterns. The shift times are: Day shift – 6am – 2pm Afternoon shift – 2:15pm – 10:15pm Flexibility between teams, site locations and shift operations is required.
