Job summary

Pace Appointments is seeking an experienced manufacturing or production leader to take responsibility for a Toowoomba-based agribusiness operation. Reporting to the COO, you will oversee production, warehousing, logistics and administration, driving performance and financial outcomes while partnering with customers and suppliers.

You'll bring strong manufacturing expertise and a proven track record of leading mid-to-large teams, improving productivity and managing costs.

Qualifications

• Leadership within manufacturing operations is essential.
• Experience in agribusiness or FMCG is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing operational and financial performance.
• Proven experience leading medium-large, diverse teams.
• Track record of improving productivity, processes and operational performance.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement and managing operational change.
• Sound knowledge of inventory management, logistics and production planning.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across levels; health, safety and compliance knowledge.
• Business Management qualification is highly regarded but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production, warehouse, transport and administrative teams.
• Drive productivity, operational efficiency and profitability across the site.
• Take ownership of P&L performance, budgeting and cost control.
• Lead a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor operational performance and provide reporting to senior leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements across productivity, quality and service.
• Work with supply chain and procurement to optimise inventory and production planning.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and the agricultural community.
