Job summary

Birdies Garden Products is seeking an assistant production manager to support the Production Manager in coordinating, planning and managing the efficient day‑to‑day operation of the manufacturing facility. The role covers production, dispatch (local and export), quality control and safety, with a focus on maintaining and improving efficiencies to ensure profitable operation. You will help manage staff, processes and training to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising manufacturing teams.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to plan production and coordinate dispatch.
• Proficient with inventory systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Manager in planning and coordinating day‑to‑day factory operations.
• Coordinate production, dispatch, QA and safety across the facility.
• Record daily production and adjust inventory in stock.
• Ensure staff are trained and production targets met.
