Job summary

Amplified People is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for a broad Process & Technology role in Sydney. You will tackle a range of manufacturing engineering activities, from factory-floor problem solving to industrialisation and equipment improvement, driving digital manufacturing projects.

You will work across production lines, applying data-driven approaches, BI/SQL/Python where appropriate, and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering teams to deliver tangible

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or process engineering.
• Understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement experience.
• Interest in automation and data-driven improvement.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes, production efficiency and equipment performance.
• Identify practical solutions to production challenges to reduce downtime, waste, and costs.
• Support industrialisation, new product introductions and process development.

Manufacturing Engineer – Process & Technology

Broad, hands-on engineering role | Process Improvement | Manufacturing Technology

We're recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for an established international manufacturing business. This opportunity suits a versatile Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving practical problems, improving production processes, and working with technology.

Rather than specialising in one area, you'll work across a broad range of manufacturing engineering activities, from factory-floor problem-solving through to industrialisation, equipment improvement and digital manufacturing projects.

You will play an important role in driving improvements across the manufacturing operation.

The Opportunity

Your responsibilities will include:

• Improving manufacturing processes, production efficiency and equipment performance.
• Identifying practical solutions to production challenges to reduce downtime, waste, and manufacturing costs.
• Supporting industrialisation, new product introductions and manufacturing process development.
• Working across a range of manufacturing processes and production equipment, with exposure to technologies such as injection moulding and automation.
• Analysing manufacturing data, cycle times and performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Contributing to automation, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Exploring opportunities to improve manufacturing performance using digital tools, data analytics and emerging technologies.
• Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering teams.

About You

We're looking for someone with broad engineering capabilities, a practical mindset and the curiosity to tackle different technical challenges.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or process engineering.
• A sound understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement experience.
• Interest in manufacturing technology, automation, and data-driven improvement.
• The ability to work confidently across both engineering projects and factory-floor operations.
• Strong communication skills, initiative and a willingness to take ownership.

Experience with industrialisation, Lean Manufacturing or digital tools such as BI, SQL or Python would be advantageous, but you don't need to be a specialist in every area.
