Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our high-performing team in Australia. You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance across electrical, electronic, and control systems, supporting plant reliability, safety, and efficiency.

You will work across rosters and shifts, with responsibilities including equipment installation, inspections, and timely response to breakdowns within our manufacturing environment. Experience in an industrial plant is essential.

• Electrical trade certificate or higher qualification.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and replace electrical equipment and systems within an industrial environment.
• Conduct online and offline inspections of machinery.
• Document equipment condition and recommend corrective or improvement actions.
• Respond promptly and safely to equipment breakdowns.
• Complete works Job Safety Analysis (JSA) or Clearance to Work (CTW) protocols.
• Use SAP to enter work notifications and record breakdown work orders.
• Have an understanding of maintenance and engineering practice, coupled with the ability to apply this understanding in an operating Manufacturing Plant.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking to join a high performing team?

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator, you will be part of a skilled maintenance team of 16 Electricians, Engineers, and Technicians focused on maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime, and improving production efficiency. In this role, you will perform both preventative and breakdown maintenance across a range of electrical, electronic, and control systems, while contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be flexible and available to work across both roster patterns listed below to support operational requirements.

• Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Rotating Roster: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off / Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am

The Role & About You:
