Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment in Sydney NSW is seeking a positive, Mandarin-speaking Junior Tester to join a fast-growing forex broker team. You will assist all testing tasks, collaborate with developers, and help ensure high-quality releases across web and client applications.

The role offers exposure to automation testing, hands-on testing, and potential progression into more senior testing roles as opportunities arise. Strong communication and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or relevant software/engineering qualification.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and quality standards.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience testing complex commercial software.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
• Ability to code automated tests in Java/JavaScript; Fiddler knowledge.
• Extensive automation testing experience.
• Familiar with Git, SVN, Maven; web servers like Tomcat/Nginx.
• Experience in Agile environments and testing lifecycle.
• Excellent API/Internet tech understanding.
• Able to communicate with Developers and Product Managers.
• Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness to learn new products and skills.
• Mandarin language fluency is a must!

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate testing is conducted on new/updated code prior to release.
• Working with developers to create appropriate test cases based on expected functionality.
• Implementing automated acceptance tests.
• Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards.
• Executing test cases (manual or automated) and analysing results.
• Reporting bugs and errors to development teams.
• Implementing performance tests.
• Working independently and provide testing guidance and advise to colleagues
