Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Junior Tester to join a fast-growing Australian forex broker in Sydney. You will help test and validate software and operations, with opportunities to step into more senior roles as they arise.

The role involves manual and automated testing, creating test cases, and reporting issues. Mandarin fluency is essential, and you will work closely with developers and product managers in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or relevant qualification in software, engineering or computer science.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies to support quality.
• Good working knowledge of SQL.
• Proven experience testing complex, enterprise software.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
• Ability to code automated tests in Java and JavaScript, with Fiddler usage.
• Significant experience in automation testing.
• Solid understanding of Git, SVN, Maven.
• Familiar with Tomcat, Nginx and other web servers.
• Experience in Agile environments and the software testing lifecycle.
• Knowledge of key testing techniques and test documentation.
• Strong understanding of APIs and web technologies.
• Able to collaborate with Developers and Product Managers.
• Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness to learn new products and skills.
• Mandarin fluency is a must.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate testing is conducted on new/updated code prior to release.
• Collaborate with developers to create test cases based on expected functionality.
• Implement automated acceptance tests.
• Interpret and apply QA standards.
• Execute test cases (manual/automated) and analyze results.
• Report bugs to development teams.
• Implement performance tests.
• Work independently and provide testing guidance to colleagues.
