Job summary

Block is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join our Sales Development organization in Melbourne. You will build a pipeline through outbound prospecting, email, and calls, qualifying opportunities for the Account Executive team and driving monthly quotas.

This is the entry point to growth within Block, with mentorship and clear advancement paths. Fluency in English and Mandarin, a BA/BS or equivalent, and a proactive, curious sales mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Full language proficiency in English & Mandarin.
• Strong desire to grow a career in sales.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles
• Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing and social selling
• Promote urgency through a solutions-based sales approach, identifying challenges with businesses and providing targeted value around how Square can help
• Grow your career in sales through frequent developmental opportunities and mentorship from the Account Executive team
• Consistently attain and exceed your monthly quotas
• Residence within 50 miles of the posted office location.
