Job Q in Laverton, VIC is hiring a Mandarin Language Teacher for full-time, in-person delivery to adult learners. Duties include delivering a Mandarin course, adapting lesson plans, and creating online activities.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin and English, hold a Bachelor's degree in Education/Linguistics/Translation/Mandarin, and have at least two years of teaching adults in Australia or abroad. Term breaks and standard school hours apply.

• Excellent Mandarin communication skills.

• At least two years of experience teaching/tutoring/adult course development in English or Mandarin in Australia or overseas.
• Knowledge of teaching approaches.
• IT skills for delivery and materials development.
• Knowledge of Chinese history, culture and society to inform teaching.
• Experience in translation or interpreting (Mandarin and English) is preferred.
• Able to follow course guidelines and present a friendly, confident, professional demeanor.
