Job summary

Australian Retirement Trust is seeking a Manager, Workforce Strategy to shape a future-ready workforce. You will translate business priorities into practical actions, lead enterprise workforce strategy and design initiatives to improve efficiency.

The role partners with senior leaders and leverages data to drive evidence-based decisions. Based in Brisbane or Melbourne, this permanent position offers hybrid working, 14% superannuation and strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading enterprise workforce initiatives and designing scalable frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AI/automation trends and how they affect workforce strategies.

Job description

As a Manager, Workforce Strategy, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we build a future-ready workforce to deliver our strategy. You’ll translate business priorities, operating model shifts and external trends into clear workforce choices and practical actions that drive real impact.

You’ll lead enterprise workforce and skills strategy, ensuring we have the right capabilities, in the right roles, at the right time. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll provide structure, insight and recommendations that influence decisions and elevate organisational performance.

You’ll also design and embed contemporary workforce planning approaches and organisational design initiatives that improve effectiveness, simplify structures and enable modern ways of working. With a strong focus on data and insights, you’ll guide a shift toward a more skills-based organisation and enable confident, evidence-based workforce decisions.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you\'ll:

  • Lead enterprise workforce strategy aligned to business priorities and execution.

Qualifications

  • You have applied skills-based workforce approaches and capability frameworks.
  • Your background connects workforce strategy with broader talent and learning strategies.
  • You bring strong stakeholder engagement and project management experience.
  • You hold tertiary qualifications in business, HR, organisational psychology or a related field.
  • You'll have postgraduate or professional certifications in workforce planning or organisational design (desirable).
