Job summary

UQ Library in Brisbane is seeking a senior leader to become Manager, Resource Delivery and Physical Collections. You will lead four specialist teams (16 staff) and shape contemporary library services across circulation, membership, document delivery and physical collections.

This role oversees library systems, drives service improvements and builds partnerships across the Library and University to deliver high-impact services for students, researchers and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate and/or professional library qualifications, or equivalent experience and education.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and management of the Resource Delivery and Physical Collection Team.
• Manage development, implementation, monitoring and reporting on circulation, membership and document supply policies.
• Manage the Library's physical collections (including the Warehouse) and information delivery services.
• Manage document delivery and library services platform configuration and development.
• Resolve complex problems including system configuration and integration, liaison with vendors and service providers.
• Participate in the University of Queensland's overall strategic planning and policy development.
• Manage relationships with library clients, library vendors, publishers, data owners and library staff from other institutions.
