Ellipsis & Company, Melbourne-based loyalty consulting specialists, is seeking a Manager to lead client engagements end‑to‑end and build deep loyalty expertise. You’ll work directly with decision-makers, shape analyses, and own core workstreams in a fast-growing practice that values senior client exposure and real ownership of engagements.
You’ll join a small, high-impact team with hybrid working options across Melbourne and Sydney.
Melbourne ideal. Sydney option. Hybrid. Full-time.
You’ve built your consulting craft at a Big Four firm or established management consultancy: the frameworks, the client rigour, the quality of strategic advice. Now you’re ready to step up, lead engagements, work directly with decision-makers and build deep specialist expertise in a high-growth category.
Ellipsis are The Loyalty Experts ® , a specialist consultancy on a mission to become the best loyalty business in the world. We’re growing, and we’re adding a Manager to lead client engagements alongside our Founders and Partners. This is a senior, hands‑on consulting role. You’ll lead engagements end‑to‑end and stay close to the work, shaping the thinking, building the models and presenting to client executives. Your focus is on clients and craft rather than line management.
You don’t need to know loyalty yet. You need to be exceptional at consulting. Loyalty is one of the fastest‑growing categories in customer strategy. The Australian market alone is worth over $6 billion and growing at 13% a year. We’ll back you to build genuine specialist depth, learning from people who’ve spent their careers in it.
Proximity to leadership with little hierarchy. Direct access to our Founders, Partners and senior leadership.
Senior client exposure. You’ll be the day‑to‑day lead for blue‑chip brands across retail, banking, insurance and travel.
Real ownership. You’ll lead and deliver engagements end‑to‑end, and contribute to proposals and pitches.
A growth category. Loyalty is booming and short on senior talent. Get in now and become one of the deepest specialists in the market.
Thought leadership on tap. Learn from Founders who are shaping the category from the Australian Loyalty Association's Loyalty Economics masterclass to a growing library of enviable proprietary IP.
Flexible hybrid working, an above‑market annual leave entitlement, and personal technology and professional development budgets.
Based in The Commons, Melbourne and Sydney giving perks of networking, cool spaces, free breakfast, events, lunches and drinks, ability to work across multiple sites
Lead complex client engagements end‑to‑end, from scoping and problem definition through to final recommendations, while personally owning core workstreams and deliverables.
Shape the problem‑solving approach for each engagement by setting hypotheses, structuring the work and guiding the analysis to clear, fact‑based recommendations.
Act as the senior day‑to‑day contact for clients, leading workshops, steering committees and executive presentations.
Build and review financial models and business cases that quantify the commercial value of loyalty programme design, partnerships and initiatives.
Quality‑assure deliverables to Ellipsis standards, using data visualisation and storytelling to bring recommendations to life.
Scope engagements and manage them to time, scope and budget, raising risks early with proposed solutions.
Contribute to proposals and pitches, and grow existing client relationships through follow‑on work.
Support and coach colleagues on your engagements, and contribute to Ellipsis IP and thought leadership.
4+ years’ experience, including a strong grounding in a Big Four or established management consulting firm.
A track record of leading workstreams or engagements and managing client stakeholders directly.
Strong financial modelling and business case skills, with advanced data analysis and visualisation.
Fluent in structured problem‑solving (First Principles, Hypothesis-Based Problem Solving, Pyramid Principle).
Experience contributing to proposals.
Proficient in AI productivity tools and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Commercially minded, proactive and precise, with the executive presence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
Customer experience or loyalty experience is a bonus, but not essential.
You must have full Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident). We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship. We review every application.
