Create impact as a Manager - Digital Engineering in IAG’s retail technology business, elevating technical and engineering capabilities across Digital Sales & Services platforms. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in major locations of Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Technical Leads, influencing a wider community of engineers across multiple squads.
• Establish and uphold engineering standards, ensuring architectural consistency and technical quality across platforms.
• Define and execute technical strategy that supports brand autonomy and enables faster, decoupled releases and improved speed to value.
• Champion engineering culture through Dev Guilds, capability uplift, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
• Influence the tech platform roadmap, aligning engineering initiatives with business goals and modern delivery practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, maintainable, and customer-centric digital solutions.

• Frontend: React, Tailwind, Storybook

About You

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in complex, multi-brand digital environments.
• Strong technical foundation in modern web technologies and cloud-native architectures.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps.
• Passion for mentoring and uplifting engineering capability.
• Experience with platform thinking, federated delivery models, and enabling autonomy at scale.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.
