Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Manager, Clinical Services to provide leadership, governance, and clinical oversight of our client's growing Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

It is an exciting opportunity for a senior mental health professional who is passionate about clinical excellence, workforce wellbeing, and supporting teams to deliver impactful, evidence-based care. The position plays a key stewardship role in maintaining professional standards, aligning internal practices with industry and legislative requirements and aims to ensure the EAP service is safe, ethical, and effective.The role is part-time, with a minimum of three days per week. Although Orange is our clients preferred location, they welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates based in Bathurst.

About the Role

The Manager, Clinical Services is responsible for leading the clinical governance, quality assurance, supervision, and strategic development of our client's Employee Assistance Program. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, short-term counselling services to employees of partner organisations while providing expert guidance in clinical risk management and supporting clinicians through supervision, mentoring, and professional development.

As a senior clinical leader, you will provide expert consultation on complex cases, foster a culture of professional excellence, and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives that promote safe, ethical, and effective support for EAP clients. You will also play a key role in enhancing service quality and providing specialist advice to partner organisations on workforce wellbeing and mental health matters.

Importantly, you will be a dynamic and resilient clinician with strong leadership and relationship-building skills, capable of balancing both the clinical and commercial aspects of the role. Working closely with the sales team, you will provide clinical expertise during customer presentations and engagement activities, contribute to the organisation's strategic direction, and undertake travel to regional NSW as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance, quality assurance, and compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and offer mentoring to clinicians and intake staff, promoting evidence-based practice.
• Act as the primary internal clinical resource for high-risk, complex, and escalated cases, providing guidance on risk management and treatment planning.
• Manage an individual clinical caseload, providing high-quality psychological assessment, intervention, and ongoing care in accordance with professional standards and organisational requirements.
• Oversee clinical audits, case reviews, outcomes monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive workforce capability through professional development, reflective practice, and clinical coaching.
• Support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based short-term counselling services and effective crisis response.
• Monitor service performance, utilisation, client outcomes, and operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to strategic service development, workforce planning, and organisational growth initiatives.
• Comply consistently with all Work Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

About You

The successful candidate will bring extensive clinical experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for supporting clients and clinical teams through meaningful operational and strategic contributions.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Mental Health Social Worker accreditation.
• High-level ACA/PACFA membership.
• Clinical Supervisor Accredited (PACFA, Psychology Board of Australia, or equivalent).

Essential Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' clinical practice experience.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision or team leadership.
• Training in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, or other brief interventions.
• Leadership, management, or organisational psychology qualifications.
• Experience in developing or reviewing clinical policies and governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with organisational consultation or critical incident response.
• An understanding of the impact of mental health challenges and recovery, gained through lived experience, either personal or through supporting others, and the ability to recognise and use this experience to facilitate positive change in a professional setting.
• Ability to work with diversity, the broad spectrum of cultural and demographic variations in our communities.
