Job summary

Boral Limited, Australia’s largest vertically-integrated construction materials company, is seeking a Management Accountant for its NSW Concrete businesses. You will own month-end close, deliver reporting and variance analysis, and drive budgets and rolling cash/volume outlooks across Metro, Regional and Concrite sites.

You will build and interpret the balanced scorecard, analyse costs, volumes and margins, reconcile inventory, and develop capital business cases while coaching site managers.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Experience in a large, well-established business.
• Background in construction or heavy industry preferred.
• Confident with a major ERP and strong Excel.
• Able to explain a result plainly to non-finance people.
• Comfortable working across a complex organisation to get answers.
• Willingness to travel to operational sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end close, reporting and variance analysis.
• Build budgets, forecasts and rolling cash and volume outlooks.
• Report and interpret the balanced scorecard for the business unit.
• Analyse costs, production volumes, margin and overheads.
• Value and reconcile inventory with operations.
• Prepare capital business cases and track benefits after approval.
• Review maintenance and contractor spend with site leaders.
• Support in coaching area managers on the numbers they own.
• Strengthen controls, reconciliations and month-end discipline.
