Job summary

MinRes is seeking a Management Accountant for our Wodgina Lithium Operation, reporting to the Senior Management Accountant. This full-time role sits on site, delivering monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts for the commodities team.

You will provide financial insights to leadership, drive profitability, and support optimisation of costs and capital allocation across the operation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CA qualification preferred or actively progressing.
• Experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or similar.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance.
• Partner with managers to provide insights into costs, margins and drivers.
• Support decisions with financial modeling and business cases.

About The Role

MinRes is currently seeking a Management Account to join our Commodities team, within the wider operational finance team on a full-time basis. The commodities team is responsible for all Lithium and Iron Ore reporting within the group.

This role is for our Wodgina Lithium Operation and will be a predominantly site-based role, working with leadership on the ground. As our Management Accountant, you’ll be reporting to the Senior Management accountant and provide vital financial insights to support decisions across the business. You’ll be responsible for preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis that highlight opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved profitability.

This position commences on a 4D3X roster on our Wodgina site, flying from Perth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring business performance is effectively monitored.
• Partner with managers to provide insights into costs, margins, and financial drivers.
• Support decision-making through financial modelling and business case analysis.
• Contribute to system and process improvements across the finance function.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

What is required

• Tertiary Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA) preferred or working towards.
• Established experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or similar role, with experience in the Resource or Industrial sector highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/BI systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill.
• Positive attitude and mentality to learn and grow.

The Wodgina lithium is a world class hard rock lithium asset, located 120km south of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining operations at Wodgina, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual capacity of 900,000 tonnes (SC5.5).
