Job summary

iSelect and Compare the Market are seeking a Management Accountant in Melbourne to join our team and work across both brands. You’ll own key month-end processes, drive accurate revenue reporting, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver budgeting insights.

You’ll contribute to forecasting, partner with leaders on budgets and spend, and support year-end activities while seeking smarter, efficient processes with strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with cloud-based accounting systems (TechOne a bonus).
• Detail-focused with a proactive approach and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across the business.

Responsibilities

• Own key parts of the month-end process including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Support revenue reporting and investigate issues with relevant teams.
• Prepare partner commission statements and verify payments against agreements.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting with analysis and insights.
• Assist leaders with budgets, spend management and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support year-end and audit activities to keep reporting accurate.
• Look for smarter, more efficient processes while maintaining controls.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Management Accountant, you'll work across both iSelect and Compare the Market, getting into the numbers, uncovering what's driving them and partnering with teams across both businesses.

• Own key parts of the month-end process, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Help keep revenue reporting accurate, working closely with our Revenue, Assurance and Reporting teams to investigate and resolve issues
• Prepare partner commission statements and make sure payments align with commercial agreements
• Play an active role in budgeting and forecasting, providing analysis and insights along the way
• Partner with leaders across both brands, helping them understand their budgets, manage spend and spot opportunities for savings
• Support year-end and audit activities to keep reporting accurate and on track
• Look for smarter, more efficient ways of working while maintaining strong financial controls and processes

• CA/CPA qual and at least 3 years' experience in a similar role
