Job summary

St Vincent de Paul Society (NSW) in Lewisham NSW is seeking a Major Gifts Coordinator for a full-time hybrid role with 3 days in Lewisham and 2 days at home. You will help grow our major donor program and secure transformational gifts to support our mission.

Working with the Major Gifts Manager, you will identify prospects, coordinate donor engagements, and manage fundraising administration to deliver exceptional donor experiences while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in fundraising, marketing, communications, business or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting donor development, fundraising or relationship management.
  • Strong administration and project coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional donor stewardship and supporter experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Society's Major Gifts Strategy.
  • Research, identify and qualify major donor prospects.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for major donors, ensuring high standards of care and engagement.
  • Coordinate donor communications, proposals, impact reports and stewardship materials.
  • Support portfolio reporting, analysis and donor pipeline management.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track engagement activities in the CRM database.
  • Coordinate donor meetings, events, site visits and related logistics.
  • Prepare donor profiles, briefing documents and reports to support fundraising activities.

Your Role

The Major Gifts Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the growth of the Society's major donor program and helping secure significant philanthropic support for our vital works. Working closely with the Major Gifts Manager, you will assist in identifying, cultivating and stewarding major donor prospects and supporters, ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to engage with the Society's mission and see the impact of their generosity. This role is ideal for a highly organised relationship focused professional who enjoys coordinating donor engagement activities, conducting research, managing fundraising administration and supporting the delivery of exceptional donor experiences.

Your Responsibility
  • Support the implementation of the Society's Major Gifts Strategy
  • Research, identify and qualify major donor prospects
  • Serve as a key point of contact for major donors, ensuring a high standard of donor care and engagement
  • Coordinate donor communications, proposals, impact reports and stewardship materials
  • Support donor acquisition, retention and growth strategies through reporting and portfolio analysis
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track engagement activities within the CRM database
  • Coordinate donor meetings, events, site visits and related logistics
  • Prepare donor profiles, briefing documents and reports to support fundraising activities
  • Support portfolio reporting, analysis and donor pipeline management
  • Work collaboratively across fundraising, communications and service delivery teams to communication the impact of donor support.
You Will Need
  • Relevant qualifications in fundraising, marketing, communications, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience supporting donor development, fundraising, philanthropy or relationship management programs
  • Strong administration, project coordination and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional donor stewardship and supporter experiences
  • NSW Driver Licence
