Job summary

Labourforce seeks an experienced Maintenance Welder for site-based work in Wetherill Park, NSW. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stainless steel and mild steel welding, with proven TIG and MIG welding skills for industrial pipework and structural components, and the ability to fabricate and install on-site.

Work is Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, with occasional overtime as required. This is a 3-month interim contract with real potential for permanency for the right person,

Qualifications

Trade certificate in welding or equivalent.
Experience welding stainless steel and mild steel (304/316).
Ability to read fabrication drawings and interpret pipework.
On-site installation experience in industrial settings.
Adherence to safety procedures and PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel.
Weld and patch pipework from ½” to 6” diameter.
Fabricate pipework systems, supports and frames.
Carry out on-site installation of fabricated systems.
Fit and install valves, flanges and fittings.
