Job summary

Pace Farm is seeking a full-time Trades Assistant to support its Maintenance team at the Euroa grading facility. You will assist with preventative and reactive maintenance, equipment repairs and general maintenance across automated production and grading equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous hands‑on maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with interest in machinery.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople and pursue a trade qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Fitters with preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Support equipment breakdowns, repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist with maintenance of plant and production equipment.
• Help maintain conveyors, chains, belts, rollers, pumps, compressors and other machinery.
• Assist with basic mechanical repairs and component replacements under supervision.
• Assist with inspections, servicing and fault finding.
• Carry, organise and manage tools, spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and maintenance area.
• Assist with spare parts, stock management and maintenance documentation.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
