Job summary

Pullman Melbourne City Centre invites applications for a Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. You will maintain guest areas to high standards, prioritise urgent work orders, perform general repairs, support minor projects and assist with preventative maintenance across the property.

You will work with a dedicated maintenance team, possess general maintenance skills, be proactive, safety-minded, and able to roister on a 6-day schedule, Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• General maintenance knowledge and experience.
• Painting and plastering experience is desirable.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Safety-first mindset and ability to work on a 6-day roster (Mon–Sat).

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel areas to high standards for guests, visitors and staff.
• Prioritise work orders, urgent repairs and minor projects.
• Assist with preventative maintenance across the property.

About you:

You will be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously. You will have the skills and ability to repair and organize maintenance schedules for all requirements.

You must have experienceand the ability to work within our designated maintenance team to perform additional general maintenance tasks as required however experience in painting and plastering is highly desirable.

About the role:

Along with a team of existing Maintenance Technicians you will ensure that hotel areas are maintained to the highest possible standard and remain a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and employees. You will also be responsible for prioritizing work orders through urgent requests, such as general repairs, work on minor projects and assist the Maintenance Team in carrying out preventative maintenance in and around the hotel.

Skills and Qualifications:

• General maintenance knowledge with relevant experience
• Ability to problem solve and rectify issues using relevant tools
• Experience in both painting and plastering is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communication
• Able to work with a safety-first mentality
• Ability to work a variable roster across 6 days (Monday to Saturday)
