Job summary

Skretting in Westbury, TAS is seeking a capable Maintenance tradesperson to install, fabricate, maintain plant machinery, and troubleshoot faults. You will work with the Maintenance Manager, manage on-call rosters, and uphold high safety standards in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The role requires 2–3 years' hands-on experience, related trade qualifications, and strong communication. Independence and initiative are essential as priorities shift and workloads change.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a maintenance tradesperson or similar.
• Related trade qualifications.
• Demonstrated high level of safety behaviour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of independence, maturity and initiative.
• Proven ability to priorities and manage workloads efficiently and demonstrate flexibility in handling changing priorities.
• Rotating on-call roster.

Responsibilities

• Install, fabricate, maintain plant machinery and equipment
• Maintain workshop and parts
• Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults, production breakdowns and production start-ups
